PNACAC Purpose & HistoryThe Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling (PNACAC) represents college admissions professionals in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington - a region known for its beauty, friendliness and collaborative spirit. A regional affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), PNACAC is an education association of secondary school counselors, college and university admission officers and counselors and related individuals who work with students as they make the transition from high school to postsecondary education. Organization HistoryPNACAC was founded at a charter meeting held on Saturday, May 8, 1965, at Willamette University and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in Washington State on February 28, 1985. PNACAC was granted 501c(3) status as of June 19, 2018.
